TheSmoke-ELcan easily be used on just one free RC channel. Through this channel, you can switch the smoke on and off during the flight. The smoke will start and end without a time-lag.
Our patented* evaporator technology in our smoke devices guarantees maximum smoke with minimal oil and power usage. Each evaporator uses only 50-60ml of smoke oil per minute. Power consumption strongly depends on smoke output, but is usually about 1000mAh. The needed electrical energy can be generated with LiPo batteries containing 6 to 12 cells. The smoke device can be fed power directly from the main power unit, since the controlling device (the SmokeDriver) constantly supervises the voltage of the battery pack. The smoke device will automatically shut off before the batteries are completely discharged to leave enough battery power to safely land the model.

In this pipe, our SmokeOil is turned into white smoke. The evaporators are the same in each system; only the number of evaporators and the input signals vary.
The evaporators are mounted outside the model with U-mounts made of aluminum. Since the pipes become extremely hot (up to 100°C), they should not be mounted inside the model, or, if you do choose to mount them inside, sufficient air needs to be added.
Since a 4mm tube and a 1.5 – 2.5mm² cable connect the evaporator, you will have to mount the tube and the cable wherever you want the smoke to appear on your model. We recommend mounting it on the tips of the wings, as this leads to the best visual results.
